10 days ago, there was a considerable amount of hype surrounding the San Jose Sharks game against the Montreal Canadiens due to one young player. Igor Chernyshov was recently recalled from the American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda and immediately slotted into a key part of the Sharks' lineup.

Unfortunately, just seconds into the game, Chernyshov suffered a scary injury. He appeared to be concussed and his head was cut by his visor, creating a terrifying scene in Montreal.

Tonight, Chernyshov will return to the Sharks' lineup for the first time since the injury. According to Sheng Peng, Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky confirmed that Chernyshov will play in Nashville earlier this morning.

Chernyshov is expected to play on the Sharks' first line alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith.

The 20-year-old forward has been effective on both ends of the ice during his time with the Barracuda this season. He's scored 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 41 games during his first professional season.

Chernyshov also looked impressive earlier this season when he had a 15 game stint with the Sharks from the middle of December into January. During that time, he tallied three goals and eight assists in his first stint at the NHL level.
