Macklin Celebrini's incredible sophomore season continues, as he became just the third Shark in franchise history to record 100 points in a season.

Joe Thornton currently holds the single season record with 114 points during the 2006-07 season, meanwhile Celebrini has tied Erik Karlsson, who had 101 in 2022-23, for second in Sharks history.

Celebrini got his 100th point with a power play goal in the first period of Monday's game against the St. Louis Blues. He had previously picked up an assist on Alex Wennberg's goal earlier in the period. Celebrini then added a second goal with less than a minute remaining in the first period.

Immediately following Celebrini's goal, the SAP Center broke out in MVP chants as the fans showed the young superstar their appreciation.

According to Max Miller of Sharks Hockey Digest, Celebrini became just the sixth teenager in league history to reach the milestone. Sidney Crosby hit the 100 point plateau twice as a teenager, while Wayne Gretzky, Jimmy Carson, Mario Lemieux, and Dale Hawerchuk each did it once.

Celebrini still has 10 more games remaining to try to catch his landlord, Joe Thornton, for the franchise record. If he continues at his current pace, it'll certainly be close.
