Terrence Lee-USA TODAY Sports - Pregame Preview #29: Sharks Play West Side Story Game Against Jets

The San Jose Sharks (8-17-3) quickly stop at home for one game to face the Winnipeg Jets (16-8-2).

San Jose is coming off a six-game road trip where they had a record of 3-2-1.

William Eklund was a late scratch against the Vegas Golden Knights for a lower-body injury. Anthony Duclair left the game in the second period and did not return.

Both players were on the ice for morning skate and participated fully. Both players were also on the top powerplay unit, which is a good indication they are in the lineup.

Luke Kunin participated in morning skate but didn't go through line rushes.

"He's all over me about it, but no," Sharks head coach David Quinn said about Kunin playing.

Henry Thrun remains with the team and could play his fourth game of the season tonight. Marc-Edouard Vlasic remains out tonight for personal reasons.

"Solid. He was put in a tough situation against the Stanley Cup champions," Quinn said about Thrun's game. "They've got a lot of big heavy forwards, and he was solid."

    Sharks projected lines:

    Eklund-Hertl-Barabanov
    Zetterlund-Granlund-Duclair
    Bailey-Sturm-Hoffman
    Labanc-Zadina-MacDonald

The defense was pretty mixed up, but here's what we saw last game:

    Ferraro-Burroughs
    Okhotiuk-Rutta
    Thrun-Addison

    Blackwood
    Kahkonen

Per reports, the Jets will be without their top goalscorer for an extended period. Kyle Connor has 17 goals in 28 games this season but took a knee-on-knee hit during Winnipeg's last game against the Anaheim Ducks.

His injury will keep him out for approximately 8-10 weeks—a massive blow for the Jets team fighting for the Central Division title.
