The San Jose Sharks announced their schedule for the 2026-27 season, as well as a number of promotions that will be held throughout the season, on Thursday morning.

The Sharks will start their season at home, with a two-game homestand at the SAP Center against the Florida Panthers and their state rivals, the Los Angeles Kings.

It won't take long for the Sharks to see a revenge game, as Darnell Nurse's former team, the Edmonton Oilers, will come to town on Saturday, October 10. Michael Kesselring will also face his former team, the Buffalo Sabres, later in the month as they'll be at the SAP Center on the 27th.

Jacob Trouba will return to Anaheim for the first time as a Shark in November, as the team in teal will face the Ducks on the road on the 25th. Mason Marchment, on the other hand, will have to wait until March to face off against his most recent team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, as the Sharks will play them twice that month.

Ivar Stenberg and Gavin McKenna will face off for the first time in the NHL, assuming they both make their respective teams, on October `19, but McKenna will make his first trip to the Bay Area on January 2.

The reigning Stanley Cup Champions, the Carolina Hurricanes, will make their only trip to San Jose of the season on March 20.

The regular season will come to a close on April 10, as the Sharks will host the Anaheim Ducks in a game that has the potential to hold major playoff implications.

The Sharks also announced a number of promotions for the 2026-27 season including a Sharks/PWHL San Jose collaboration, a Sharks/Warriors collaboration, the annual Hockey Fights Cancer game, and numerous others. The entire list of promotions can be found in the team's press release
