The San Jose Sharks won't be getting Jake Walman back in their lineup against the Utah Hockey Club on Friday.

Nikolai Kovalenko also won't travel to Utah this afternoon and is dealing with an upper-body injury. Kovalenko has missed practice the past two days.

Fabian Zetterlund is dealing with a lower-body injury he's played through during the Sharks' last two games. He did not practice but is expected to travel, and will be a game-time decision.

Walman has fully practiced with the club the last two days, but head coach Ryan Warsofsky said he still needs to overcome some hurdles before he gets back in the lineup. He did not rule out the No. 1 d-man for Saturday's matchup against the Minnesota Wild.

"We'll reassess it in the morning [on Saturday]," Warsofsky said.

Cody Ceci did not practice on Wednesday but returned on Thursday and will play in Friday night's game.

Carl Grundstrom has received a regular practice jersey this week, and Warsofsky said he would travel to Utah. However, his game status is still in question.

"I'll have to go back with our training staff this afternoon," Warsofsky said. "I would say it's game-time [decision], but I gotta have a meeting today."
