San Jose Sharks goalie Alexandar Georgiev will not dress against the Edmonton Oilers due to an upper-body injury.

San Jose recalled Gabriel Carriere from the AHL, and he will back up Georgi Romanov on Thursday.

Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky confirmed to reporters that the netminder's injury isn't overly serious, and they don't expect him to miss much time. Georgiev did jump on the ice after the official portion of the morning skate ended.

Romanov will make his third career start against a tough matchup. Jake Walman and Ty Emberson have returned to the SAP Center for the first time since they were traded.
