The San Jose Sharks are apparently on the verge of getting some reinforcements back from injury.

According to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now, the Sharks had quite a few injured players fully participating in Monday morning’s practice.

Igor Chernyshov, Yaroslav Askarov, Tyler Toffoli and Vincent Desharnais were all on the ice wearing regular jerseys. Meanwhile, Ty Dellandrea has moved from an orange non-contact jersey to a regular teal one.

Chernyshov suffered a scary injury just moments into the Sharks’ game against the Montreal Canadiens on March 14. Luckily, it appears he avoided the worst case scenario and has made a quick recovery.

Toffoli and Desharnais both picked up injuries during the Sharks’ 5-0 loss to the Buffalo Sabres five days later on the 19th.

Askarov picked up an injury ahead of a morning skate before the Sharks faced the Boston Bruins. Dellandrea has been out the longest, making his most recent appearance for the Sharks back in early January.

Toffoli won’t begin the road trip with the Sharks, but could join the team on the road. Askarov on the other hand will travel, and believes he’ll be ready to play at some point during the trip.

Chernyshov and Desharnais may both be available for tomorrow’s game in Nashville.

Based on recent results, it’s safe to say getting these players back quickly could be massively helpful for Ryan Warsofsky and company for their ongoing playoff push.
