After practice on Friday, head coach Ryan Warsofsky had some updates regarding the roster for Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Before practice began, the Sharks placed former Ottawa Senators first-round pick Colin White on waivers to assign him back to the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League.

White appeared in three games in the NHL and did not register a point in a fourth-line center role.

White signed a two-way contract before he was recalled. He will now need to clear waivers before returning to the AHL.

During recent morning skates and practices, Klim Kostin has been skating with the San Jose Sharks while still wearing a yellow non-contact jersey.

The big forward has not played an NHL game since Jan. 10 against the Utah Hockey Club. Kostin suffered a lower-body injury during that game. In 26 games this season, Kostin has one goal and three assists.

Warsofsky said Kostin is an option to dress against the Dallas Stars on Saturday despite not losing the non-contact uniform. With White on waivers, San Jose could be opening up the roster spot needed to activate Kostin from injured reserve.

Tyler Toffoli, William Eklund, and Andrew Poturalski did not skate during Friday's practice due to what Warsofsky described as "maintenance." The bench boss does not expect any of the three forwards to miss tomorrow's game.
