The San Jose Sharks selected Swedish defenseman Leo Sahlin Wallenius with the 53rd overall selection in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Sahlin Wallenius played for Växjö Lakers HC J20 in Sweden last season. In 43 games he scored 11 goals and 31 assists.

Sahlin Wallenius told reporters he’s under contact with the Växjö Lakers for two more seasons. He is hoping to play for their men’s team next season in the SHL.
