The San Jose Sharks are the sixth youngest team in the NHL.

The San Jose Sharks have an average age of 27.08, which includes the league's youngest player, Macklin Celebrini.
Despite those metrics, Ryan Warsofsky isn't worried about his team becoming tired as the season progresses.
"Winners don't get tired. That is the message," Warsofsky said. "If we're going to win, we can't be tired. It doesn't matter if it's our schedule, back-to-back games, [or] travel. You can't be tired. That's the message."
The Sharks have been careful about the time they give to some of their young players, especially Will Smith. Smith has played back-to-back games just once this season. San Jose is following a strict development schedule for Smith, and regardless of whether he is playing well, they won't change the plan.
Warsofsky has repeatedly told the media that Smith and Celebrini are on different plans. After returning from his injury on Nov. 5, the 18-year-old hasn't missed a game for any reason.
"He's obviously worked extremely hard off the ice and on the ice," Warsofsky said. "He's out there probably an hour and a half, two hours today. [That is] just who he is. That's what makes him special."
The Sharks have been careful with injuries this season, especially for Celebrini. The rookie missed 12 games with a hip injury but returned to team activities nearly a week before his eventual game return. The Sharks did not overwhelm their young superstar and are doing things that allow him and other young players to develop without being rushed.
San Jose has played 33 games this season. As the season approaches its halfway mark, the team's fatigue will be genuinely seen later in the year.
