The San Jose Sharks will have one of their top prospects playing at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Sam Dickinson, the San Jose Sharks top defenseman prospect, has officially made Team Canada for the upcoming World Juniors.

Dickinson makes the team during one of the best seasons by a defenseman in the OHL and Canadian junior hockey. The 18-year-old has 15 goals and 31 assists in 26 games.

The 2024 11th overall pick by the San Jose Sharks can potentially be Canada's No. 1 defenseman, and if his development is done correctly, he could become the No. 1 defenseman for the Sharks in the NHL.

Dickinson could be paired on defense with his London Knights teammate and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Oliver Bonk.

The tournament will occur from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 and be hosted in Ottawa.
