Jacob Peterson and Thomas Bordeleau have been assigned to the AHL from the San Jose Sharks.

The San Jose Sharks announced that Thomas Bordeleau and Jacob Peterson have been sent to the AHL.
Mikael Granlund is expected back in the lineup today, and the Sharks needed to clear a spot on the roster to activate Granlund off of IR.
Jacob Peterson was called up after the first regular season game after Mikael Granlund was placed on IR. Due to him clearing waivers before the regular season started, the Sharks had the flexibility of sending him down to the AHL without waivers.
Peterson has played six games in the NHL this season and has no points.
Thomas Bordeleau was also sent to the San Jose Barracuda on Sunday. The skilled centerman was a healthy scratch against the Nashville Predators and Carolina Hurricanes.
Bordeleau has one goal and one assist this year but hasn't been able to play an effective enough game to remain in a top-lineup spot.
The other part of these transactions could be that the Sharks don't play until Thursday, and Bordeleau and Peterson could play for the Cuda today. Although that is unlikely, it is still possible, depending on their travel plans back to California.
David Quinn already met with the media today, so expect some clarification after their game against the Washington Capitals.
