Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports - Couture Has Another Setback; No Timetable for Return to Sharks

San Jose Sharks head coach David Quinn told THN today that Logan Couture had another setback.

"A little bit of a setback, so we're holding him off the ice here as of right now," Quinn said. "Hopefully, the time off will get him back in a better spot."

Couture had been skating consistently in San Jose while the team was on its five-game road trip. Quinn said that the last Couture was on the ice was on Friday.

"As much as he needs, as much as [time until] his body tells him it's time to go back out, really," Quinn said. "[There is] really no timetable on that."

DQ said earlier in the year that Couture is the type of player who will want to be on the ice despite not being at 100%. The Sharks have missed him in the lineup, adding to the captain's frustration.

"He's frustrated," Quinn said. "I think we also, kind of with Benning [also], he's the [type of] guy that [we need to] protect him from himself. We've got to kind of look big picture here."

Quinn said Benning is expected to be out for at least a week and should land on IR.
