Former San Jose Sharks defenseman Jaycob Megna was claimed by the Chicago Blackhawks today.
Megna played 92 games for San Jose and had 20 points (3 goals, 17 assists). He made a name for himself as Erik Karlsson's defense partner.
The Sharks traded Megna to the Seattle Kraken for a 2023 fourth-round pick last season. That fourth-round pick turned into Luca Cagnoni.
Megna played six games for the Kraken this season and failed to record a point. He will have more opportunities with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks are a very young team, and the 31-year-old Megna will bring in experience.
