The San Jose Sharks (0-10-1) host the Philadelphia Flyers (5-6-1) in their first game since GM Mike Grier addressed the team.
Sharks head coach David Quinn confirmed that Mackenzie Blackwood will start in goal. Kaapo Kahkonen is healthy and will back up after not dressing for one game.
Filip Zadina did not participate in regular line rushes during Monday's practice and was expected to sit. In speaking with Quinn today, that plan seems to have changed.
"He'll be in tonight," Quinn said. "A lot of thought. "Things change. It wasn't one thing in particular that happened. It was just maybe me taking a deep breath and making a more educated assessment."
Sharks Projected Lines:
Eklund-Hertl-Zetterlund
Zadina-Granlund-Duclair
MacDonald-Sturm-Labanc
Smith-Carpenter-Kunin
Ferraro-Emberson
Vlasic-Burroughs
Okhotiuk-Rutta
Blackwood
Kahkonen
William Eklund and Tomas Hertl will be on the same line for the first time this season.
"20 to 3 for the last two games," Quinn joked. "I was reluctant to do it because, as we've talked about, [Granlund] and Eklund are good together, but I know Tommy will be too. Just trying different combinations right now."
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. PST and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
