    A live game thread of the San Jose Sharks' fourth preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings.

    The San Jose Sharks host the Los Angeles Kings for their fourth preseason game.

    Sharks Head Coach David Quinn confirmed that Magnus Chrona is starting in goal. 

    Luke Kunin will play his first game since December 2022 after tearing his ACL. He will be on a line with William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau.

    LA forward Alex Laferriere had a strong showing at the Rookie Faceoff and has brought that to the preseason. Look for him to be a standout player on the ice.

    FIRST PERIOD:

    12:15: The Kings have controlled the run of play so far, outshooting the Sharks 7-4.

    SECOND PERIOD:

    It was a much better period for San Jose, but both goaltenders have been strong. Chrona has been impressive. His positioning and rebound control stand out.

    THIRD PERIOD:

    9:57: Kings forward Alex Laferriere deflects a shot past Chrona. 1-0 Kings.

    17:13: Tomas Hertl beats the Kings netminder with a shot from the slot. There was a delayed penalty on the play.

    The Sharks seemed to get better as the period went on. They finish regulation outshooting the Kings 34-25.

    OVERTIME: 

    4:21: Samuel Fagemo finally beats Chrona with a one-timer. Chrona finished with 27 saves. Kings win 2-1.
