The San Jose Sharks could be getting a little healthier on Sunday.

The San Jose Sharks have had no luck regarding injuries this season.
San Jose has been without Logan Couture the entire season, Mikael Granlund has played just two periods, and they have lost Alexander Barabanov to a broken finger.
As the Sharks embarked on their five-game road trip, the expectation was that Granlund would be in the lineup early on; however, that wasn't the case. During a practice before the game against the Nashville Predators, Granlund had a setback.
The thought was that Granlund wouldn't be in the lineup anytime soon. His timeline of a return was thought to be week-to-week.
Sharks head coach David Quinn told THN this morning that there is a good chance for Granlund to play on Sunday against the Washington Capitals.
"[He's] doing very well. He's getting close," Quinn said. "As soon as Sunday, maybe, yeah."
That is a significant change from what was initially thought. If Granlund can play as soon as Sunday, the San Jose Sharks would benefit significantly.
"He's had a different approach to his treatments, and they have worked very well," Quinn said about what changed.
At this moment, the Sharks haven't released what the exact injury is other than a lower-body issue.
Granlund will immediately enter a top-six forward role, a top powerplay role, and a penalty-killing role. He will provide stability through the middle for a San Jose Sharks team that hasn't had that.
