Per a source, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Logan Thompson was not allowed to put a Cancer ribbon on his helmet by the NHL.

It is not known what might've happened if Thompson decided to do it. November is Hockey Fights Cancer Month in the NHL. The NHL previously banned pride tape but rescinded that rule.

Florida Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made an all-purple mask for the month, and it is unknown if he was fined.

Seattle Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer also had an all-purper mask.

Thompson is the backup goalie for the Golden Knights tonight in their game against the San Jose Sharks.

More information should be available soon; this story will be updated when more becomes public.
