The San Jose Barracuda has suddenly lost a vital business staff member.

The San Jose Barracuda has suddenly lost a vital business staff member.

The team announced that Frank Torres, the Vice President of Barracuda Business Operations, suddenly passed away yesterday after a battle with a short illness.

This is an excerpt from the email informing the company of his passing:

"Since his hire in 2022, Frank was an integral part of Team Teal and his contributions to the Barracuda were invaluable. In addition to his core responsibilities, Frank was our lead in ensuring the upcoming 2024 AHL All-Star Classic was a success. In many ways, this marquee event serves as a league wide symbol of a new and improved San Jose Barracuda of which Frank took great pride in."

As this states, Torres was an integral part of many responsibilities to help pave the way for a successful on-ice event.

Torres was part of the Coachella Valley Firebirds organization before joining the 'Cuda in 2022. This season, he was a driving force behind the Tigres Del Mar theme nights.

The San Jose Barracuda and Tech CU Arena are hosting the 2024 All-Star Classic. The team will likely want to dedicate the entire event to his passing.
