With how things have gone for the Sharks this season, it is likely that they are not too upset about Hamilton blocking a trade to San Jose. Hamilton is in the middle of a tough season with the Devils, as he has recorded five goals, five assists, and a minus-7 rating in 40 games. These numbers are very low for Hamilton's standards, but it is fair to wonder if a change of scenery could help him bounce back.
