Seattle, WA Brandon Tanev returned to Climate Pledge Arena for the first time since being traded to the Jets earlier this month on Sunday night.

Fans gave Turbo a warm welcome during warmups, and a tribute video played on the jumbotron in the first period. However, the cheers turned to jeers during a fight between Tanev and his former teammates, Shane Wright and Tye Kartye.

Kraken rookie Jani Nyman scored first for Seattle with a power play goal, marking a milestone as he became the second player in Kraken history, alongside Matty Beniers (2g/1a in 3 GP), to score at least two goals in their first three NHL games.

The Jets turned up the pressure in the second, with Kyle Connor's tying goal sending the game into overtime. Dylan Samberg’s wrist shot past Joey Daccord secured the overtime win for Winnipeg. With the loss, Seattle’s all-time record against the Jets now stands at 2-6-4, including a 1-2-3 mark at home.
