Sunrise, FL - Brandon Montour spent three seasons with the Florida Panthers and helped the team win their first Stanley Cup Championship in 2024. Montour's celebration was cut short after the team parade when he was signed by the Kraken on July 1, 2024, as a free agent, to a seven-year, $49.98 million deal.
Montour recorded several milestones in his first season with Seattle. On October 29, he recorded the first hat trick of his career, which was also a natural hat trick, in an 8–2 Kraken win over the Montreal Canadiens. Montour is one of Seattle's top scoring defenders with 10 goals and 17 assists this season.
Montour spoke to the media after the morning skate prior to the Kraken's 2-1 win over the Panthers and reminisced about his time in Florida.
