Seattle, WA - Saturday night under the gleaming lights of Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Kraken took to the ice in front of a roaring home crowd on Kraken Day, securing a commanding 6-3 victory over their Pacific Division rivals, the Vancouver Canucks. The atmosphere was electric as the Kraken delivered a statement win, pushing their all-time record against the Canucks to 6-6-2, with a 3-4-1 mark at home. This victory gave the Kraken a 2-1 edge in the season series, with one final showdown scheduled for April 2, 2025, in Vancouver.

Seattle’s offense exploded in a true team effort, as 11 Kraken skaters registered points, combining for a total of 15 on the scoresheet.

A flurry of goals saw Andre Burakovsky, Matty Beniers, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Brandon Montour, and Eeli Tolvanen each light the lamp, with Tolvanen scoring twice to highlight the offensive onslaught.

The Kraken’s depth was on full display, with four players recording multi-point nights. Among them was defenseman Vince Dunn, who earned two assists, extending his point streak to consecutive games. Dunn’s second assist of the night was a milestone moment, marking his 200th career NHL assist.

Shane Wright also dazzled, contributing a pair of assists. The young forward, who has been playing at better than a point-per-game pace over the past 14 contests, now has 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) during that stretch. Since January 1, Wright leads all Kraken players with 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists), further solidifying his breakout season.

Veteran Chandler Stephenson added an assist, continuing his role as the team's assist leader with 30 on the year.

Meanwhile, Jordan Eberle made his return to form, recording his first point (an assist) since rejoining the lineup on February 22.

In the crease, Joey Daccord was solid, stopping 28 of 31 shots faced, delivering a dependable performance to secure the win.

As the Kraken celebrate their triumph, they now take a well-deserved day off before returning to practice on Monday. They’ll shift their focus to Tuesday’s home clash with the Minnesota Wild where puck drop is set for 7 PM.
