Seattle Kraken prospects Berkly Catton, Clarke Caswell, Ollie Josephson and Kaden Hammell were named captains of their CHL teams.

The Kraken selected Catton with the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NHL draft after he was a dominant offensive force with the Spokane Chiefs. He recorded 54 goals and 116 points in 68 games, finishing third in goals and fourth in points amongst all players in the WHL.

Through two games this season, Catton has recorded just one assist but once he finds his stride with the Chiefs, the points will come in bunches.

Caswell was selected in the fifth round in the most recent draft. He was a playmaking machine with the Swift Current Broncos registering 51 assists in 68 games. Through two games to start the year, he's already added three assists.

Caswell is a hard worker and a smart two-way player and the Broncos believe he has the leadership qualities to Captain their roster.

Josephson was selected one round before Caswell in the 2024 draft and is poised to have a breakout season with the Red Deer Rebels. They have an improved roster that should help him eclipse the 12 goals and 47 points he scored last year.

He's known more as a defensive centre but the Kraken believe there is untouched offensive potential in Josephson's game. Playing with the Rebels gives the 18-year-old the best opportunity to do so.

Hammell was named as a co-captain of the Everett Silvertips alongside Eric Jamieson. Hammell has become a defensive defenseman after the Kraken drafted him in the fifth round of the 2023 NHL draft. He'll be a good leader for Landon DuPont who was granted exceptional status and selected first-overall in the most recent WHL draft.

Caden Price and Carson Rehkopf were named assistant captains of their respective teams.
