

“Holy doodle” was the second reaction from longtime hockey veteran Joe Thornton after receiving word from Selection Committee Chair Ron Francis that the 45-year-old center will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
@HHOFThornton started his career in 1997 and retired in 2023 after several years of playing with the Boston Bruins, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Florida Panthers.
Joining Thornton as nominees are former longtime Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara and Olympian Jennifer Botterill.
The 2025 Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony is officially scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025, in Toronto.
