The Seattle Kraken have unveiled their 2026-27 regional broadcast plans, giving fans across five states multiple ways to watch 77 regular-season games.
Seattle Kraken fans won’t have to go searching for ways to watch their team this season.
The Kraken announced their 2026-27 regional broadcast schedule Monday, with 77 regular-season games set to be available across Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. That includes the season opener Oct. 1, when Seattle visits the Calgary Flames.
The Kraken Hockey Network will produce every game that is not being carried nationally, giving fans several options to follow the team throughout the season. The regional broadcasts will be available through local television stations and Prime Video.
In the Seattle area, KONG will carry 59 games exclusively, while another 18 will be simulcast on both KONG and KING 5. The games will also be available through participating TEGNA, Gray Media, Cox Media and Morgan Murphy Media stations across the five-state region.
Fans in other parts of the Pacific Northwest will have several free over-the-air options as well.
TEGNA stations KGW in Portland, KREM and KSKN in Spokane and KTVB in Boise will carry Kraken games. KAPP and KVEW will provide coverage for viewers in Yakima and the Tri-Cities.
In Alaska, games will be available on Gray Media stations KAUU in Anchorage, KYEX in Juneau and KFXF in Fairbanks. Cox Media’s KEVU and KLSR will carry games for fans in the Eugene, Oregon, area.
Amazon’s Prime Video is also returning as a streaming option for Kraken fans. Prime members can watch all regionally televised games in the Kraken’s broadcast territory without an additional subscription, although games subject to national exclusivity will not be available through the regional streamZ
The broadcast booth will also look largely familiar.
John Forslund will return as the team’s play-by-play announcer, with former NHL forward JT Brown joining him as the analyst. Piper Shaw will once again work from rinkside, handling player and coach interviews throughout the broadcasts.
Ian Furness will host the Kraken Hockey Network’s pregame, intermission and postgame shows, with Alison Lukan returning for analysis. Former NHL defenseman Brett Festerling will also provide his perspective for most games.
Fans who prefer listening to the Kraken can continue to tune into the iHeart Kraken Audio Network on KJR. Everett Fitzhugh will handle play-by-play, while former player Al Kinisky will provide analysis. Mike Benton will host the pregame and postgame coverage.
KING 5 will also continue its weekly 30-minute “Kraken Home Ice” program, hosted by Paul Silvi. The show will feature interviews and deeper stories involving Kraken players, coaches and team management.
Seven games will be carried nationally by ESPN and TNT, with the remaining 77 games available through the Kraken Hockey Network’s regional coverage.
The regional broadcast schedule begins Oct. 1 in Calgary, giving Kraken fans their first chance to follow the team as the 2026-27 season gets underway.
