Seattle Kraken goalie, Joey Daccord, has been named one of the four goalies invited to the U.S. Men's Olympic Orientation Camp on August 26-27 in Plymouth, Michigan. The 2-day camp is considered to be a team-building event and the first step to creating a roster for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games.

Along with Daccord, fellow netminder invitees include Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets), Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars), and Jeremy Swayman (Boston Bruins)

Daccord recently represented the United States in the 2025 IIHF World Championships where he posted a .919 save percentage in 3 games played, including a shutout against Denmark. Working alongside fellow camp invitee, Jeremy Swayman, the duo helped lead USA to their first World Championship Gold Medal since 1933.

A few weeks ago, USA Hockey announced the first six members of the 2026 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team. Jack Eichel (Vegas Golden Knights), Auston Matthews (Toronto Maple Leafs), Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa Senators), Matthew Tkachuk (Florida Panthers), Quinn Hughes (Vancouver Canucks), and Charlie McAvoy (Boston Bruins). The final 25-man roster is expected to be announced in early January 2026.

Daccord's Kraken teammate, Brandon Montour was also invited to his country's Olympic Orientation Camp. He will be representing his home nation of Canada later this month.
