Multiple Seattle Kraken prospects are lighting up the WHL to start the season.

Multiple Seattle Kraken prospects are lighting up the WHL to start the season.

Berkly Catton and Clark Caswell are among the top 15-point leaders in the WHL, and Caden Price leads all defensemen in points. The Kraken's success in the WHL extends further with five prospects among the top 15 in assists. Those five are Catton, Caswell, Price, Lukas Dragicevic and Julius Miettinen.

Catton started the season off slow but has been on a tear as of late. He's up to nine goals and 32 points in 21 games, on pace for his second 100-point season. The 2024 eighth-overall pick has the Spokane Chiefs in fourth place in the Western Conference as they attempt to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Catton scored the shootout winner against the WHL leaders Everett Silvertips last night to secure two vital points.

Caswell is on pace to set a new career-high in points and eclipse the 100-point mark. His seven goals and 33 points in 19 games is second on his team and top-10 in the league. The Swift Current Broncos are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference and Caswell is a major reason for their success.

Price was selected in the third round in the 2023 NHL draft and is enjoying a breakout campaign with the Kelowna Rockets. His 28 points are tops amongst WHL defensemen, and he's on pace to set career-highs in goals, assists and points.

Miettinen and Dragicevic are also currently on pace to set career highs while continuing to improve defensively. They are both big bodies who are attempting to mature physically as they work their way to professional hockey.

It'll be hard for each player to keep up their point pace but their starts to the season is a positive sign of progression.
