Elliott Mondou, the St. Louis Blues’ video coach, will join Team Canada’s 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship staff.

St. Louis Blues video coach Elliott Mondou has been named to Team Canada’s 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship staff.

Mondou has been working as a video coach since 2016, but joined the Blues organization in 2022. He started as a video coordinator, but was promoted to video coach in 2025.

This will be Mondou’s second time working at the World Championship, but one of the many times he’s worked with Team Canada.

The 25-year-old began his coaching career in the QHMJL with the Shawinigan Cataractes. He worked with Shawinigan for five seasons. After that, he became the full-time video coach for Team Canada at the U-17s, U-18s, the World Juniors, and the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Last year, he worked with Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off and the World Championship.

In his international career, he’s taken home gold at the world juniors and the 4 Nations.

The upcoming World Championships are set to take place from May 15-31 in Zürich and Fribourg, Switzerland.

Canada is expected to bring along several talented NHLers, including John Tavares, Mathew Barzal, Mark Scheifele, and current Blues No. 1 center Robert Thomas.
