During the later stages of the 2024-25 season, prospect Jimmy Snuggerud signed his three-year, entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues. The 2022 first-round pick left a nice first impression after joining the Blues, as he recorded one goal, three assists, and four points in seven regular-season games. He then followed that up with two goals, four points, and a plus-2 rating in seven playoff games for St. Louis this spring.

Overall, Snuggerud certainly showed promise with the Blues this past season, and there is no question that he is easily one of the NHL's top breakout candidates heading into the 2025-26 campaign. The 21-year-old forward has the potential to cement himself as a true star, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if he took a major step forward in his development because of it.

Snuggerud showed during his collegiate career that he is very skilled offensively. During his final season with the University of Minnesota in 2024-25, he dominated, recording new career highs with 24 goals and 51 points in jus 40 games. With this, he certainly has the potential to be a major offensive contributor for the Blues next season.

Overall, there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to Snuggerud's game. It will be fascinating to see if he has a major breakout year for the Blues next season from here.

When looking at how he performed during the 2024-25 season, it is fair to say that he has done just that.
