This is great news for the Blues.

The St. Louis Blues have announced that defenseman Nick Leddy will return to the lineup for the club's Jan. 4 contest against the Edmonton Oilers.

This is big news for the Blues, as Leddy is one of the club's key blueliners. In addition, returning to the lineup has been a long journey for Leddy, as he has missed each of the Blues' last 49 games due to his injury.

    Nick Leddy

Leddy, 33, has played in just four games this season, where he has zero points and a minus-3 rating. During this past campaign with the Blues, he had three goals, 28 points, and a plus-14 rating.

With the Blues needing as many points as possible to move up in the standings, it is excellent that Leddy is good to go. Let's see how much of an impact he can make from here.
