The St. Louis Blues are in a crucial part of the season. After winning seven out of their last 10 games, the Central Division club finds themselves right in the Western Conference wild card hunt with the regular season nearing its completion.

At this juncture of the season, the Blues are tied with the Vancouver Canucks with 73 points. However, the Canucks currently hold the final wild card spot in the Western Conference because they have played one less game than St. Louis. Thus, the Blues need all of the wins they can get, especially with the Calgary Flames and Utah Hockey Club just two points behind them as well.

If the Blues hope to secure a playoff spot, they will need their top stars to step up down the stretch. Jordan Kyrou is undoubtedly doing his job right now, as the 26-year-old forward is currently playing some of his best hockey of the season.

Kyrou has an impressive six points over his last two games and was a significant reason for the Blues winning each matchup. On March 15 against the Minnesota Wild, he recorded a hat trick and sported a plus-3 rating. He then followed that up with a three-assist effort against the Anaheim Ducks on March 16.

With his outstanding recent play, Kyrou now sits at 27 goals, 56 points, and a plus-13 rating in 68 games this season. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain his hot streak from here. If he does, it will only help the Blues' chances of getting a playoff spot by the end of the campaign.
