Buchnevich Day To Day; Leddy Skates In Full Friday
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- The St. Louis Blues got good news on defenseman Philip Broberg on Friday, but it was wait-and-see on a pair of other veterans.
Forward Pavel Buchnevich is day to day with a lower-body injury and defenseman Nick Leddy, who practiced in full for the first time since leaving the lineup with a lower-body injury Oct. 15 against the Minnesota Wild, is unclear on a return.
Buchnevich was injured near the mid-point of a 3-0 win against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday and did not return; he did not practice on Friday, and Alexandre Texier skated in his spot with Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours.
"He's day to day. We'll know more in the morning," Blues coach Jim Montgomery said of Buchnevich. "He didn't practice today. It's something that could possibly be ready for tomorrow."
As for Leddy, who's missed the past 20 games with a lower-body injury, worked with skills coach Michael Babcock before practice, then skated in full:
"We're excited to have him back; we don't have a timeline yet," Montgomery said.
Defenseman Ryan Suter also was absent from practice Friday; Montgomery called it a maintenance day.
