St. Louis Blues forward Brayden Schenn has been creating plenty of chatter in the rumor mill with the 2025 NHL trade deadline rapidly approaching. The Blues captain has generated interest, and it is understandable when noting that he is an impactful veteran two-way forward who also plays with an edge.

On the latest episode of Sportsnet's Saturday Headlines, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman provided an interesting new update on the Schenn trade talks.

"Teams have talked about uniting the Schenn brothers," Friedman said. "Brayden from St. Louis and Luke from Nashville. Maybe acquiring them in separate trades to bring them together. We'll see if anyone can do it."

Brayden's brother, Luke Schenn, is currently on a struggling Nashville Predators club and would be a strong addition to a playoff club looking to add a big, hard-nosed right-shot defenseman to their roster.

It will be interesting to see if the Schenn brothers end up being dealt to the same team by the deadline. For this to have any shot of occurring, Brayden would need to be willing to waive his no-movement clause.
