Veteran winger missed a 5-2 loss to Predators Saturday with a lower-body injury, was placed on IR, is day to day, becomes fifth Blue on sidelines, joining Mailloux, Tucker, Toropchenko, Dube

The St. Louis Blues keep adding to their growing list of injured players and continue to purge the roster in Springfield to offset it.

Veteran forward Ross Johnston became the fifth Blue to be sidelined when he was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day. To offset the injury, the Blues have recalled forward Otto Stenberg from the Thunderbirds, a day after the team recalled 2022 third-round pick, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki.

The 32-year-old has played in six games for the Blues this season after signing a three-year, $6 million contract as a free agent after playing for the Anaheim Ducks.

Stenberg, 21, has appeared in six games for the Thunderbirds this season and has four points (one goal, three assists).
