These two former Lightning players had solid games for their new teams.
Two former Tampa Bay Lightning players had good games for their new teams on Wednesday night.
First, Nick Paul played in his second game for the Toronto Maple Leafs and made an immediate impact. The former Lightning forward recorded the primary assist on Colton Sissons' game-opening goal in the first period.
Paul is not the only former Lightning player who made an impact on Wednesday with his new team. This is because Declan Carlile also had a good first game with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Carlile recorded an assist on Hendrix Lapierre's second period goal that gave the Penguins a 2-0 lead.
Paul and Carlile recording an assist with their new clubs is good to see. The former Bolts will now be looking to build off their solid games from here.
Paul spent five seasons with the Lightning from 2021-22 to 2025-26, where he posted 75 goals, 73 assists, and 148 points in 310 games. Carlile, on the other hand, had two goals and four points in 46 games over three seasons with the Lightning from 2023-24 to 2025-26.
