    4 Nations Face-off: Brayden Point assists on Brad Marchand's goal to put Canada up 2-0

    In an exciting first period, Brayden Point found Brad Marchand to extend Canada's lead.

    Opening Night of the 4 Nations Face-off tournament is underway. The matchup features Lightning captain Victor Hedman with Team Sweden. Brayden Point, Anthony Cirelli and Brandon Hagel are with Team Canada, alongside head coach Jon Cooper and Julien BriseBois as Assistant GM.

    The 4 Nations Face-off is the first best-on-best tournament since the World Cup of Hockey 2016 in Toronto. 

    Nathan MacKinnon opened the scoring for Canada, when Sidney Crosby sent a backhanded pass to MacKinnon, that went right past Sweden's goaltender Filip Gustavsson to make it 1-0.

    Canada's second goal was set up by Brayden Point as he found Brad Marchand on a 2-on-1 to extend the team's lead to 2-0 over Sweden.
