The New York Rangers fell to the Florida Panthers in Game 6 on Saturday night. With it, the Presidents' Trophy winners are officially out of the playoffs, while the Panthers are back in the Stanley Cup Final for the second year in a row.

With the Rangers being knocked out, former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Barclay Goodrow's magical playoff run is, unfortunately, over.

Goodrow, 31, was among the Rangers' top contributors during the playoffs. The veteran forward picked up his game at the perfect time, posting six goals, eight points, and a plus-3 rating in 16 games. Getting this kind of production from Goodrow in the bottom six played a big role in the Rangers getting deep into the playoffs.

Goodrow's great postseason play came after a very tough 2023-24 regular season. In 80 games, the Toronto native had four goals, eight assists, and a minus-13 rating. It was a notable drop in production, as he had 11 goals and 31 points in 82 games during the 2022-23 campaign. However, he regained his form big time when it mattered most.

With Goodrow's campaign now over, he will look to build off his solid playoff run during the 2024-25 season. He showed the Rangers that he can still be a very impactful bottom-six forward for them, and it will be fun to see what he does for an encore next season from here.
