Lightning Star Linked to Pacific Club

This Lightning forward is expected to be on this Pacific club's radar.

Anthony Duclair is one of the Tampa Bay Lightning's top free agents. The skilled winger was an outstanding deadline addition for the Bolts, posting eight goals and 15 points in 17 regular-season games following the move. Due to his immediate fit in the club's top six, they would likely love to keep him around.

However, after acquiring Ryan McDonagh from the Nashville Predators, the Lightning have a little over $5 million of cap space available. Captain Steven Stamkos is also the club's top priority, so there is a good chance that Duclair will hit the market on July 1.

If the Lightning can't get a deal done with Duclair and he reaches free agency, there will be a lot of interest in him. According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, one specific club that will likely target him is the Seattle Kraken.

The Kraken are coming off a down 2023-24 season, and a big reason for it was their lack of scoring. Because of this, it would not be shocking in the slightest if they targeted Duclair. He would provide them with much-needed scoring and would give them an upgrade to their top six.

When looking at a potential fit in the Kraken's lineup, Duclair could work nicely on their first line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle. In addition, he would be an obvious pick for their power play.

In 73 regular-season games this campaign, Duclair had 24 goals and 42 points.
