The Winnipeg Jets avoided elimination with their 4-0 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 5 of the second round. One player the Jets certainly should be thanking for that is former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Vladislav Namestnikov.

Namestnikov stepped up in a big way during the matchup. The former Lightning forward scored a clutch insurance goal to give Winnipeg a 3-0 lead. He then followed that up by recording an assist on Nikolaj Ehlers' empty-netter during the final minute of the third period.

Namestnikov's goal was a very nice one, as the ex-Bolt beat Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger top shelf with an incredible wrist shot. This goal was massive for the Jets, as it helped put this game out of reach.

With his two-point performance in Game 5, Namestnikov now has three goals, six points, and a plus-1 rating in 12 contests this post-season. Overall, he is providing the Jets with solid secondary offensive production, and they will be hoping he continues to do so as they look to knock out the Stars.
