On Feb. 7, the Tampa Bay Lightning recalled forward prospect Dylan Duke from the Syracuse Crunch.
Duke made his NHL debut against the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 8 and already made a big impact with the Bolts. The 21-year-old forward scored his first career NHL goal, and it was a good one.
After crashing the net, Duke picked up a rebound from Mitchell Chaffee and quickly beat Red Wings goaltender Cam Talbot. This was a great way for Duke to make a first impression with the NHL squad.
Duke is viewed as one of the Lightning's most promising forward prospects, and he undoubtedly showed why against the Red Wings. In 36 games this season with the Crunch, he has 13 goals and 22 points. Now, he has his first goal as a Bolt.
