This former Lightning defenseman could end up moved before the deadline.

Stamkos speaks with media following 5-1 loss to Rangers

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is almost here, which means trades around the NHL will soon be picking up. The Tampa Bay Lightning are a clear team to watch during these next five days, as they are buyers who have been connected to several trade targets, most notably Calgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin.

Yet, a familiar face to the Lightning also stands a shot of being dealt before the deadline passes – Minnesota Wild defenseman Zach Bogosian.

Bogosian, 33, was traded by the Lightning to the Wild earlier this season. The Wild were looking to add more bite to their blue line to try to get their campaign back on track. However, now that the Wild's playoff hopes are very low, there's a chance that Bogosian, a pending UFA, will be on the move again.

Bogosian made an appearance on Chris Johnston's latest NHL trade board for The Athletic, and it makes sense given his experience and very affordable cap hit. Teams needing more defensive depth could take a flier on Bogosian, as he plays a very heavy game and, of course, has a Stanley Cup on his resume.

In 47 games this season split between the Lightning and Wild, Bogosian has one goal, nine points, 53 blocks, and 84 hits.
