Former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Vladislav Namestnikov has signed a two-year, $6 million contract ($3 million AAV) with the Winnipeg Jets.
Namestnikov, 32, was selected by the Lightning with the 27th overall pick of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He spent six seasons as a Bolt over two stints, posting 59 goals, 138 points, and a plus-22 rating in 320 games.
The Jets keeping Namestnikov around is understandable. He has been a solid part of their forward group over the last three seasons, and this campaign has been no different. In 52 games this campaign, he has 10 goals and 29 points. This was after he had 11 goals, 37 points, and a plus-17 rating in 78 games last season with Winnipeg.
In 760 career NHL games split between the Lightning, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, and Jets, Namestnikov has 136 goals, 327 points, and a plus-44 rating.
