The Tampa Bay Lightning will be without defenseman Emil Lilleberg for the next two weeks after he suffered an injury during Wednesday’s practice in Minnesota. Tampa Bay’s blue line has dealt with a number of injuries throughout the season and was just beginning to get healthy again.
Lilleberg has recorded two goals and four assists, along with 28 shots on net, 33 blocked shots and 60 hits across 35 appearances this season.
The Lightning are also currently without rookie Dominic James, who underwent surgery for a lower-body injury. The 23-year-old is expected to miss 8–10 weeks, sidelining him for the remainder of the regular season with a projected return in early to mid-May.
The same night James went down, the Lightning also lost forward Gage Goncalves, who is considered day-to-day, leading to the recall of Conor Geekie from Syracuse Crunch.
