The Tampa Bay Lightning will be without center Anthony Cirelli on Thursday as they face off against the Ottawa Senators.
Cirelli was missing from morning skate. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper later confirmed he would not be available to play but did not disclose what the injury was. Cirelli has been extremely impactful throughout the season for the Lightning, scoring 19 goals and 21 assists. He's on pace to have his best season since joining the organization, which earned him a spot on Team Canada for the 4 Nations Face-off.
In addition, Jon Cooper also confirmed that Nick Paul would be available to play. He exited early in the first period on Tuesday night and did not return after suffering an undisclosed injury.
The competition in the Atlantic Division has become tight and both Tampa Bay and Ottawa are battling for a playoff spot. Puck drop is at 7pm.
