Team Canada has announced that Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point has made their roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

In addition to Point, Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins), Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado Avalanche), Cale Makar (Avalanche), Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers), and Sam Reinhart (Florida Panthers) have all been named to Team Canada's roster.

Point has certainly earned this Team Canada spot, as he is only continuing to thrive as his career carries on. In 77 games this season with the Lightning, the nine-year veteran recorded 42 goals and 82 points. This is the fourth time in his career that he has hit the 40-goal mark and the third time he has recorded at least 90 points in a season.

Point should be an incredibly important part of Team Canada's roster at the Olympics, as he is an elite offensive player who is well-known for stepping up in big moments. This is evidenced by the star forward having two Stanley Cup championships on his resume. It will be fun to see what kind of performance he puts together for Team Canada once the Olympics are here.
