The Lightning have officially signed their top RFA.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman J.J. Moser to a two-year, $6.75 million contract ($3.375 million AAV).
Moser, 24, was set for an arbitration hearing, but the restricted free agent and the Lightning have agreed to their new deal before it. Now, the left-shot defenseman will look to be a key part of the Lightning's top four in 2024-25 and onward.
Moser was one of the pieces acquired from the Utah Hockey Club in the massive Mikhail Sergachev trade earlier this summer.

Moser quietly emerged as a solid top-four defenseman with the Arizona Coyotes over the last three seasons. During the 2023-24 campaign with Arizona, he posted five goals, 26 points, 99 hits, and 112 blocks.
Overall, Moser is an impactful two-way defenseman who has the potential to become an even more significant threat on a deep Lightning club. Expect him to see time on both the Lightning's power play and penalty kill from here.
