The Lightning are expected to be without this superstar for the rest of their game against the Jets.

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced that star forward Brayden Point is not expected to return during their ongoing matchup against the Winnipeg Jets. 

Point, 28, did not join the Lightning on the bench at the start of the second period. Shortly after, the team announced that it was unlikely he would return.

At this juncture, the exact reason why Point is sidelined has not been announced. 

Point was having a strong game with the Lightning against the Jets, as he scored during the first period.
