With the 2024-25 NHL season just around the corner, NHL 25 will soon be released. Due to this, EA Sports revealed the 10 right wingers with the highest ratings for NHL 25. As expected, Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov got some big-time praise in the process.
Kucherov was ranked as the best right winger in NHL 25, sporting a 95 overall. The only other right winger with a rating that high is Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak. However, NHL 25 also ranked Kucherov as the third-best player in the game, while Pastrnak is the seventh.
Given how sensational Kucherov was this past season, it is entirely fair that he has been named the best right winger in NHL 25. In 81 games on the campaign, he set new career highs with 44 goals and a league-leading 144 points. In addition, he became the first winger ever to record 100 assists in a single season.
Thus, Kucherov getting a 95 overall rating is certainly justifiable. If anything, there is an argument to be had that he should be a bit higher.
Nevertheless, seeing what kind of season Kucherov puts together after his historic 2023-24 campaign will be fun.
