This Lightning superstar has been rewarded for a great week.

Will Nikita Kucherov be the next NHL player to hit 1,000 career points?moreVideos

Tampa Bay Lightning star forward Brayden Point has been named the NHL's Second Star of the Week (Dec. 2 to Dec. 8).

Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk was named the First Star of the Week, while Vegas Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill was the Third Star.

Seeing Point get recognition for his incredible week is not particularly surprising. He was fantastic for the Bolts, as he had two goals and eight points in just two games. Furthermore, he had back-to-back four-point games, becoming just the third player in Lightning history to achieve that feat.

Point has been magnificent for the Lightning this season in general, posting 18 goals, 29 points, and a plus-5 rating in his first 21 games.
